In my limited experience in Europe (I lived in The Netherlands for 10 months in 1990-91), I ran into just about as many religious folks at the University I attended as I did at the University I attended in the States. Can you provide some public opinion poll or something similar that indicates the majority of Europeans have lost their belief in God? I wonder if it just might be your experience that leads you to this conclusion. An experience that runs counter to my own.
