Good Friday


One of the most striking paintings we saw in the Vatican Museum a few years ago. A fitting image for contemplation today.

That picture of a lifeless Jesus always brings me chills. We tend to forget that for these days he really was dead and he really had no life left in him. It really was the re-creation of the Father that allowed him to rise again.
