That's an interesting article. And, it was fun to read until the last paragraph. Two things: 1) O'Reilly has been exposed as a fraud and a hypocrite. To invoke anything he says diminishes an author's credibility in my opinion. 2) Not everyone on the Left are godless athiests. There are plenty of us on the Left who view Jesus's example as congruent with such goals as healthcare for the indigent and a passifistic orienation to international affairs. In addition, I think you could ascribe the descriptor "angry, bitter lot" to politicians on both sides of the aisle. Neither party, and neither -thiesms have exclusive right to acrimony.
I tend to agree. There was no need to make a political point.
